Happy Birthday Heather!

On August 18th, 1997, we lost our sweet daughter, Heather Ann. This year is so bitter sweet as we send our last little baby off to Kindergarten. The house will be VERY empty next week when the kids go back to school. I just can't believe that they are all grown and there are no more babies at home. God has been so good to our family and we are just to thankful for the things in our lives.

I just want to share a little something with you. If it goes too fast to read the whole thing, feel free to click it on and read it page for page. My mom gave it to me last year on what would have been her 10th birthday.

We have so much in common. My baby will be going to kindy in a few weeks too. Such a bittersweet time as we think about what could have been and the house is silent.

I am so sorry about Heather. May you gain comfort knowing that she has a wonderful playmate with her.

May you find some peace during the hard time. ((hugs))

That is a beautiful book! I cannot imagine all the love, joy, and memories you hold of your dear Heather. I hope you find comfort in knowing she is with Jesus.

I'm sure you've heard this poem.. but I think it is too sweet not to share...

Merry Christmas From Heaven

I still hear the songs
I still see the lights
I still feel your love
on cold wintry nights

I still share your hopes
and all of your cares
I'll even remind you
to please say your prayers

I just want to tell you
you still make me proud
You stand head and shoulders
above all the crowd

Keep trying each moment
to stay in His grace
I came here before you
to help set your place

You don't have to be
perfect all the time
He forgives you the slip
If you continue the climb

To my family and friends
please be thankful today
I'm still close beside you
In a new special way

I love you all dearly
now don't shed a tear
Cause I'm spending my
Christmas with Jesus this year.

Nan, I hope that you find strength during this time. I know that every August must be especially difficult for you. I am praying for you and your family.

I am sure that Heather is having a wonderful party in heaven today. Happy Birthday, Heather!
